At the time of evaluation, the average length of incarceration was 21.6 years and the average time since release was 6.6 years. Two-thirds of participants were referred to the group via word of mouth. CSQ-8 scores range from 8 to 32.All groups are led by Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialists (CIPSS) who have experienced mental health and/or substance use challenges and are on their own chosen path of recovery. CIPSS build empowering connections with group members and offer first-hand experience and encouragement that long-term recovery is possible.
